Benjamin Franklin Bearden, Jr., known to all as Benny, passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 76, following an extended illness. Benny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Benny was quite a character, known for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family. He was a cornerstone in the Silver City community, touching countless lives, Benny spent many years operating Bearden Feed & Grocery, a business originally established by his father, Frank, in the 1950s.
His perseverance, without complaint, highlighted the depth of his character, even in the face of tough health limitations later in life. His resilience during those challenging times truly speaks to his inner strength and faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Leila Bearden. Benny is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Bearden, and their four children: Brent Bearden (Angela), Bryan Bearden (Heather), Lisa Graves (Eric), and Brannon Ivie (Misty). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Madeline, Noah, Kristen, Addie, Raegan, Ellie and Ethan.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Benjamin “Benny” Franklin Bearden, Jr. will be Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home, burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, February 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
