Benjamin John Berkenstock passed away on March 24, 2024, after battling several serious illnesses. He was born on November 29, 1967,  the youngest of ten, to Robert Berkenstock Sr. and Noreen (Hildebrand) Berkenstock. Ben spent the majority of his life in the Akron area, working in maintenance and as a mechanic, he had the ability to fix just about anything. Ben was very proud of the fact that he changed his life for the better by his sobriety of over 22 years, and using his own experience to help others to achieve and maintain their own sobriety. He was also proud of owning his own home with his brother Doug. Ben valued family and looked forward to being reunited with his many of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Noreen, his brothers Greg, Timmy, Rob, Rick, Willie and Doug, and sisters Melody and Melissa. He is survived by his brother, Daniel (Karen) Berkenstock, as well as many nieces and nephews, whom he was very close to, having no children of his own.
