Benjamin Brisky Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Options Funeral and Cremation Services, LLC - Fort Myers on Jul. 16, 2024.
Benjamin John Brisky
It is with the deepest sorrow and loving memory that we announce the passing of
Benjamin John Brisky born in Boston, MA on June 19, 1999, to Caroline M. Campbell and
T. Bret Brisky of Fort Myers, Florida.
Ben-Jaman as he was dearly known to family and friends was the first born son to Caroline
and Bret, a gift of joy to their lives. Ben later became the wonderful big brother to Nathaniel
as the family grew. Their relationship was as close as brothers could be, and their bond will
never be broken.
Ben grew to become the quintessential quiet intellectual, a gentle giant with a deep passion
for learning everything about anything that piqued his interest. He graduated from Estero
High School in June of 2017, as a Cambridge Scholar. He then became a proper Bostonian
attending Boston University and returned to the sunshine of Florida Gulf Coast University
achieving honors in biology and the distinction of Summa Cum Laude. Ben's biology research
while attending FGCU was published in the American Journal of Botany. He attended
Louisiana State University's summer research opportunity for biochemistry, spreading his
wings to the science of the world and enthusiastically sharing his knowledge with others.
Benjamin was the most pleasant man you'd ever meet, a gentleman well beyond his years. A
kind soul, never drawing attention to himself unless he was banging the snare drum or
shredding his guitar tuning his soul to the hum of the amp and finding his deep groove in
heavy metal thunder.
Inuit legend says perhaps they are not stars in the night sky, but rather openings in heaven
where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are happy. Ben is now the
brightest light in the night sky.
Ben is survived by a family and academic community of broken hearts.
We truly thank you Ben for all the beautiful, sweet, loving gifts you have left in our hearts
that make this life so precious. You will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know
and love you. We are all richer because of you.
A celebration of Ben's life will be held at a future date.
In prayerful memory donations may be made to student scholars in the FGCU Biology Department. Donate to FGCU Biology Department.

What a tremendous loss. I´ve known Ben since he was in 1st grade. Such a gentle, kind, intelligent person. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed with the chance to meet him. Sending love and prayers to Caroline, Nate and family.
