Ben was born February of 1949 in Lamar, Colorado to Carl and Lorraine Doke of Pritchett, Colorado.
Ben loved growing up in rural America. Some highlights of growing up were hunting and fishing with his dad, Carl. Ben also had endless stories of escapades with his numerous friends.
Ben graduated from Pritchett High school in 1967, then attended NJC in Sterling before moving on to CSU in Ft Collins, to complete an FFA degree in 1973.
More recently while living in Cheyenne, Ben had been collecting and maintaining a nice set of cars both old and new. He was proud of his collection which consisted primarily of Fords, but the occasional GMC or other brand would find a way into the collection.
Ben is survived by his daughters, Nikki (Mark) Lassaux and family of Grand Junction, Colorado and Cheri Doke (Kim Pinney) and family of Brighton, Colorado and brother Walter (Kathy) Doke of Pritchett, Colorado.
Most all who met Ben would agree that he was very sociable and loved to tell stories and laugh with his friends and family. Ben had great friends everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him!

Ben entered the Judy, Jackie, Donna world when we were in our late teens. So Handsome, what a smile, so kind. CSU - the fun we had. Ron (Jackie's brother) joined in. Tales to tell. From Blue Bloods: Someone Siad, we are all just passing time & occupy our chair very briefly. The time you, we, had with Ben was a gift. We are all the better that he occupied his chair so well. LOVED YOU GIRLS!
