Marjorie I. Ogden Brinkley, (Marj) stepped into heaven on March 17, 2025 in Amarillo, TX.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Springfield Methodist Church in Springfield, CO. Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Marj was born on October 3, 1923 to Arthur Franklin Ogden and Ida May Massey Ogden in Beaver OK, the second of four children. Marj was a lifelong Pritchett, CO resident who attended Valley View, a one room schoolhouse not too far from their country home and later graduating from Pritchett High School. After high school while working at the Deeds hardware store, she met and later married Roy Alan Brinkley on October 2, 1947.

Marj was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was civic minded, supporting local groups and charities. Marj was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Pritchett. After its closing in 1979, she and Roy moved their membership to the Springfield United Methodist Church.

She will be remembered as a loving and generous woman who had a big heart and cared for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy, of 70 years, 2 brothers and their wives Frank and Pat Ogden and Dewy (Bud) and Lucille Ogden and her beloved sister Gladys and brother-in-law Warren Brinkley.

Survivors include her daughter and husband, Pam and Richard Chandler of Amarillo, TX and many loved nieces and nephews.
