I remember playing chess with Ben in elementary school. I always admired his intelligence and eagerness to engage with people. We grew up alongside each other, not exactly as a close friends the entire time, but there was always kinship there. Gosh, I remember more recently running barefoot on the fields in Bear Creek park while warming up for some early evening frisbee games. I loved our friendship and interactions and am grateful that those memories can live on, but sad that there won't be any new ones.
Rest In Peace Ben, you are loved.

I was going to drive to Utah to help Paul and Mollie move and just casually invited him along. He said that sounds like a blast and 24 hrs later we were on the road.

Paul & I played football, wrestling, basketball & ran track together at Watson. At almost every event & in the hallways of school soon after seeing Paul, I would remember seeing Ben. Almost always I can picture him with some sort of cheerful look on his face & his trumpet in tow. That was almost 20 years ago now. So sorry to hear about your loss Paul -JJ Luna
