BENJAMIN GLASCO AGE 92 OF WASHINGTON, DC, TRANSITIONED TO BE WITH THE LORD ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 10, 2025 AT WASHINGTON HOSPITAL CENTER SURROUNDED BY HIS LOVING FAMILY.
BENJAMIN (BABY GEE) WAS BORN ON SEPTEMBER 15, 1932 IN SALUDA SOUTH CAROLINA TO THE LATE ARTHUR AND ELLA ABNEY-GLASCO. HE WAS EDUCATED IN THE SALUDA COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM. H RELOCATED TO PHILADELPHIA AND WASHINGTON, DC IN THE 1950'S WHERE HE RESIDED FOR ALL OF
HIS ADULT LIFE. BENJAMIN WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE ROSE AND SON BENNIE LEE GLASCO. HIS SIBLINGS ARTHUR JR, JAMES, ROBERT, IDA MAE, HATTIE AND ANNIE PRECEDED HIM IN DEATH.
BENJAMIN RETIRED FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENTAFTER 40 YEARS OF SERVICE AS A RESEARCH LAB TECHNICIAN. A JOB HE LOVED AND CHERISHED UNTIL THE DAY HE RETIRED. HE WAS A MEMBER OF PEOPLES COMMUNITY CHURCH FOR OVER 20 YEARS (2003) UNTIL HIS HEALTH STARTED TO DECLINE. HE WAS ALSO A FAITHFUL MEMBER OF THE MEN AND WOMEN AIDE SOCIETY OF SALUDA SOUTH CAROLINA. HE LOVED FISHING AND DRINKING UNCLE BUCK WITH HIS BROTHER ROBERT W PRECEDED HIM IN DEATH.
HE LEAVES TO CHERISH HIS MEMORY HIS LOVING AND FAITHFUL COMPANION ISABEL GUINYARD (CHICK). BEJAMIN IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HIS SISTER ELIZABETH GLASCO-BROWN, A HOST OF OTHER RELATIVES AND DEVOTED FRIENDS. HIS DEVOTED FRIEND/COWORKER DANNY BRIDGE A TRUE FISHERMEN AT HEART WILL MISS HIM DEARLY.
