Benjamin Robert "Ben" Hedden

Benjamin Robert Hedden, age 15, of Painted Post, was unexpectedly called home to join his grandma's in heaven on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at home. He was born on May 16, 2009 in Elmira, the son of Aaron and Kim (Seeley) Hedden.
Ben was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and classmate. He was a sweet, caring, and generous person that was always looking out for the underdog. Ben faced many medical issues with courage and strength. He was a student at the Corning-Painted Post High School between his freshman and sophomore year and he was an avid car enthusiast. In his leisure time, Ben enjoyed hunting, archery, fishing, and woodworking with his brother, Uncle Doug and Grandpa Seeley.
He is survived by parents, Aaron and Kim Hedden of Coopers Plains, twin brother, Alex Hedden at home, sister, Cassadee Hedden at home, paternal grandfather, Chris Hedden of Bath, maternal grandfather, Michael Seeley of Campbell, aunts and uncles, Matt (Allison Bednarski) Hedden of Taylor, Pa, Christopher (Mara Haley) Hedden of Ithaca, Steve (Sailor) Beck of Raleigh, NC, Lisa Smith of Florida, Michael (Trena) Seeley of St. Mary's, Ga, Douglas Seeley of Bath, Amy Seeley of Campbell, Jim (Joanie) Seeley of Newport News, Va, many cousins. canine companions, Zoey, Gabe, Bob, and Bea. Ben was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Vicki Hedden, maternal grandmother, Charlotte Seeley, and cousin Lauren Seeley.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 West Pulteney Street, on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon). A funeral service officiated by Pastor Veronica Seeley will follow there at 12 (noon). A celebration of Ben's life will occur later that day from 2:30 - 6:00pm at the Coopers Plains Community Church, 10 Race Street, Coopers Plains. NY. follow there at 12:00 (noon).
