Benjamin Walter Lang died unexpectedly in his home in Thornton, CO on Oct 4 2024. He was born, June 15 1983, and raised in Loveland CO, graduating from Thompson Valley High School in 2001. Afterwards he attended UCCS and then CCU graduating in 2005 with a degree in Information Technology.
Following university Ben worked in information technology for a number of years most recently at Long View Systems as a Cloud Technical Architect. He loved engaging with clients and other IT professionals to not only solve problems but to build robust sustainable solutions meeting the needs of those he served.
While growing up Ben was in involved for a number of years in Boy Scouts and Soccer. While he was in high school he grew into a love of singing in ensembles. But the biggest pieces of Ben’s world were his family, his love for his Lord & Saviour Jesus and his involvement at their church, Rocky Mountain Presbyterian in Westminster CO, and being outside in God’s creation, hiking, skiing and all manner of other outdoor activities. These people and places were what brought Ben the most joy.
He is survived by his wife Emily of 19 years, and children Ainsley and Corin, dog Dash, parents Ken & Mitzi Lang, brother Jeremy (Jamie), twin brother Chris, as well as grandmother Ginger Leonard, and nephew Junio and nieces Annabelle and Lillian Lang. He is also survived by in laws Harvey and Beth Specht, and brother in law Ben Specht. He also has other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close and valued friends.
He is predeceased by his beloved grandfather Bob Leonard and his soul-dog Reddin.
The celebration of Ben’s life will be held on Monday October 14th at 10:30am at Family in Christ Community Church (11355 Sheridan Blvd Westminster, CO 80020).
