Benjamin "Ben" LeDonne

July 19, 1936 – November 16, 2025

A person with a beardAge 89, of Pittsburgh's Crafton Heights neighborhood, passed away on November 16, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lorraine (Karolski). Together, they had four children, Donald, Kimberly, Lisa, and Daniel; four grandchildren, Christa Ventura, Brittany LeDonne, and Genevieve and Colette Cohen; four great-grandchildren Darius Pollnac, and Mason, Carson, and Dakota Ventura.

Ben was a people-person and worked with the public as much as possible, first as a barber, then as a Port Authority (now PRT) bus driver, and a Heinz Field guest services representative. Ben enjoyed sports, especially high school football, which he attended and followed for years. In his later years, Ben enjoyed going to the Sheraden Healthy Active Senior Center and more recently the Sharpsburg senior center and actively participated in the senior games for many years.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh's Bloomfield neighborhood, Ben was the oldest of eight children born to Joseph "Popeye" and Marion (Stilley) LeDonne. His siblings are Harvey (Sue), John (late JoAnn), Robert (Gloria), late Patricia (late Thomas) Bombich, Denise (Richard) Miller, Valerie LeDonne Marsico, and Moneque (Glenn) Jeletic.

Visitation will held on Wednesday from 5 PM - 7 PM at the D'Alessandro Funeral Home & Crematory Ltd., Butler at 46 Sts., Lawrenceville. Interment private.
