Benjamin Munoz, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, passed peacefully at home on the Southeast Side of Chicago, on November 22, 2024, at the age of 101. Born on April 16, 1923, in San Julian, Jalisco, Mexico, Benjamin enjoyed a life rich with family, love, and memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew him.
He was the proud father of Benjamin (Bertha) Munoz Jr., Daniel (Malena) Munoz, Diana MunozGomes, and Efrain (Laura) Munoz, who carry on his legacy with deep affection. As a grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather to many, he reveled in the joy of family gatherings, his heart swelling with pride every time he witnessed the growth and achievements of his descendants.
Benjamin's life was marked by unwavering love, dedication, and resilience. He lived a life imbued with the rich flavors of his passions, a man who found joy in the gambling of horse racing or at the casino and the smooth warmth of tequila. Those who had the privilege of knowing him will remember his warm smile, kind words, and the stories he shared, often filled with laughter and warmth. He was also the brother of Guadalupe, Elvira, Concepcin "Concha", Raquel, Juan, Jos de Jess "Chepe" and Maria Asuncin "Kika"and an uncle to many. His grandson, Sebastian Gomes, was an amazing caregiver and companion to him during his final years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Isidro Munoz and Ana Cleta Munoz (nee Hurtado), beloved wives, Romilia Munoz and Leonor Munoz, as well as siblings, Daniel, Manuel, Ruben and David. Benjamin's departure leaves a void that will be felt profoundly by his family and friends. His remarkable journey through life, characterized by the bonds he nurtured and the love he radiated, will always be celebrated. Benjamin Munoz's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, a testament to a life well-lived, filled with moments of joy, laughter, and the enduring power of family.

Benjamin Munoz, un querido padre, abuelo, bisabuelo y tatarabuelo, falleci pacficamente en su casa en el lado sureste de Chicago, el 22 de noviembre de 2024, a la edad de 101 aos. Nacido el 16 de abril de 1923 en San Julin, Jalisco, Mxico, Benjamin disfrut de una vida rica en familia, amor y recuerdos que siempre sern atesorados por quienes lo conocieron.
Fue el orgulloso padre de Benjamin (Bertha) Munoz Jr., Daniel (Malena) Munoz, Diana MunozGomes y Efrain (Laura) Munoz, quienes continan su legado con profundo afecto.
