Funeral services for Benjamin Reddecopp, age 66 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Peter Janzen officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. His family has lovingly provided the following obituary.

Benjamin Reddecopp was born on April 22, 1959 in Durango, Mexico to Benjamin and Anna (Driedger) Reddecopp. He married Katharina Friesen on August 27, 1978, and they immediately began to grow their family. After losing two babies they briefly moved to Canada. They then migrated to the U.S. in 1980. Benjamin worked as a farm hand for a few years, before working in the oil field in various roles for most of his working career. They had four children during this time. After the kids had grown Ben and Kathy spent a couple of years on the road as Ben drove a

semi-truck taking goods all over the country.

Benjamin is survived by his wife, Katharina, of 46 years of Seminole; three daughters, Mary and husband Micheal Klassen, Anna and husband Abe Friessen, Katharina and husband Bernhard Guenter; one son, Benjamin Reddecopp and fiancé Ashley Danner; three brothers, Johan and wife Maria Reddecopp of Bolivia, George and wife Sarah Reddecopp of Mexico, and Abraham and wife Helen Reddecopp of Bolivia; five sisters, Maria Giestbrecht of Mexico, Anna and husband Peter Guenther of Canada, Nancy and husband Johan Wall of Canada, Tina Klassen of Mexico, and Trudy and husband Henry Bartch of Canada; his uncle, David who was more like a brother and wife Nancy Driedger of Seminole, Texas; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both parents, Benjamin and Anna Reddecopp, his two baby girls, four brothers, David, Jake and wife Eva, Isaac, Pete Reddecopp, two sisters, Susanna Brown, and Agatha and husband George Remple, along with many nieces and nephews.
