Benjamin Roche-Santos, 71, entered into the hands of the Lord on June 15, 2024 in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He blessed our lives in many ways and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Margarita and three children Benjamin Jr. (Denise), Luis (Elvira), and Maria (Jared), his father, Carmelo, and stepmother Emilia, his brothers, Jose Rafael, Carmelito and sister Milly. He is also leaving behind 9 grandchildren to honor and cherish his memory.
Benjamin Roche served in the U.S. Army from 1973 - 1993. After devoting 20 years of his life serving his country, later in 2002 he began to devote his life to serving and protecting his community by becoming a Department of the Army police officer/Game Warden. After some time, he took the responsibility of becoming a Range Operator, a title which he held until retirement in 2019. He was always recognized throughout his entire life for going above and beyond for his impeccable work ethic. Benjamin was always admired by his work peers and appreciated by his superiors. His love for his children and grandchildren was without bounds and he cherished the sweet memories they created with him. His happiest time was when he was speaking to his kids and grandkids whether in person or over the phone. His passions were inclusive of cooking meals for his family, spoiling his grandchildren, dancing to good salsa music, speaking about and representing his Puerto Rican culture, and beating everyone in dominoes.
