Benjamin Daniel Strunk, age 84, of Washington, NJ, passed on May 15, 2021 in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was born April 19, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI, to the late Benjamin F. Strunk Jr. and the late Agnes (Drake) Strunk.
Benjamin was a graduate of Washington High School. He served in the United States Army. He married his beloved wife, Margaret, on April 22, 1960 and together they raised a beautiful family, having three daughters: Bonnie, Lisa, and Lynne.
Benjamin had many hobbies including wood carving, hunting, fishing, motorcycles and spending time with family. He was a member of the Masonic Mansfield Lodge No. 36 where he had been a past Master, as well Grand Chaplain for the State Masonic. He was also a member of the Shriners and Tall Cedar.
Benjamin will be forever missed by his daughters, Bonnie Schwind and her husband Joseph, Lisa Yerance, Lynne Cox and her husband John; grandchildren, Joseph D Riecke, Joseph Schwind Jr., Benjamin Schwind, Tori Cox, Jennifer Schwind, Stephanie Cox, and Jessica Yerance; great grandchildren, Benjamin Schwind Jr., Hailey Schwind, and Hunter Schwind; step great grandchildren Addison Hickman and Payton Hickman. Ben is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Benjamin was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Agnes Strunk; wife, Margaret P. Strunk; and sister, Brenda Manjunk.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 10:00 am until the Masonic Service begins at 11:00 am at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington NJ 07882.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Benjamin's name may be made to Mansfield Masonic Lodge No. 36, 275 Route 31 North, Washington, NJ 07882.
