I knew Ben from Lehigh University back in the late 1970's, and I didn't know him real, real well - and I regret that. But, I remember that he was direct, and upbeat, encouraging and real.
I was a year or two older than Ben and I lost track of him until Facebook. When I saw what he'd done with his life -- and his deep commitment to God and community in Jersey City -- I was awed!!! (but not surprised). I knew Ben had a deep well of character, and that is the life he lived. He shared his joy and his talents. He gave back.
God bless Ben Wilson always and always. I am honored to have been a friend (if only for a short season).
