Bennie Junior Long, 63, passed away on September 28, 2024 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Bennie was born on April 03, 1961 to the late Wilbert and Lucy Smith Long. In addition to his parents, Bennie was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Stallings.
Bennie is survived by his wife Bobbie Brodie Long; his daughters, Towanda Holder (Marshall) and Yolonda Long; grandchildren, Makayla Holder and Ezra Long; his siblings, Christine Edgerton (Donnie), Peggy Sue Kamara (Robert), Wilburn "Earl" Long, Arthur Glenn Long, and Charles Long; sisters-in-law, Deborah Moore, Princess Bullock, and Shirley Evans; and brothers-in-law, Donald Brodie, Jr., and David Brodie.
Bennie was a people person who never met a stranger. He was loyal and honest and as a mechanic his word was true, he would tell you exactly what was wrong with your car and not try to upsell anything. Bennie was always willing to help others and would give you the shirt off his back. Bennie loved his family dearly and they always knew that he loved them.
