Benny Wayne Bell, age 82, of Vilonia, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025. A lifelong resident of Vilonia, Benny lived a life rooted in quiet dedication to his family, his work, and his community.

Born on March 3, 1943, Benny was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jim” and Allie Bell, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion that guided him throughout his life. He was also preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Lee and sister Theresa.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor Bell of Vilonia; his children, Heidi Love (Phillip) of Benton, Hal Prescott (Anna) of Fayetteville, Wayne Bell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Brian Bell (Sheila) of Maumelle, and Mark Bell (Lana) of Vilonia, and his sister Brenda Hartwick of Jasper.

Benny devoted thirty years of faithful service to the Arkansas Department of Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where his commitment and care left a lasting impact on the many lives he served. Prior to this, he taught school in Cabot and Beebe. In his spare time, Benny enjoyed horseback riding, baseball, classic country music, and college basketball.

A proud and devoted member of Vilonia United Methodist Church, Benny lived out his faith through kindness, humility, and service to others.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and stepfather, and a steady, gentle presence in the lives of all who knew him. His quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering love will continue to be felt by his family and community.

A celebration of Benny’s life will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
