Berchil H. Cogdill, age 89, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on June 2, 2025. A devoted U.S. Navy Veteran, Berchil proudly served his country from 1954 to 1958. He is preceded in death by his parents, Berry and Ora Cogdill, as well as his siblings: Patricia McDaniel, Claude Cogdill, Clinton Cogdill, Ava Fields, and Shirley Ellis. Berchil is survived by his beloved wife, Ocie Cogdill; his cherished daughter, Amanda Cogdill; and his grandchildren, Connor Davis and Emma Frizzell. He also leaves behind his siblings, Harry (Diana) Cogdill, Charles Cogdill, Jerry (Wilma) Cogdill, Bill (Ethel) Cogdill; and brother-in-law, Virgil Fields; sister-in-law, Helena Cogdill, along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will miss him dearly.
Family will receive friends on Monday, June 9, 2025, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207, with Pastor Larry Kudart officiating.
