Mr. Berlin "Lucky" Fontenot, age 96, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at his home in Pineville.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11: 00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Jackson Street Church of Christ will Bro. Larry Pasley officiating.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jane Baumgartner; son, Richard Darren; stepdaughter, Robbie Payne; parents, Alide and Elise Fontenot; and 5 siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Cora Johnson Fontenot; children, Michael Raye Fontenot (Paula), Monty Fontenot, Rhonda Johnson (Rodney), and Georgia Turner (Rodney); 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lucky was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. In his younger years he enjoyed coaching baseball and later bowling with his wife. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force, and his military training kept him punctual and sharp throughout his life. Lucky took great pride in keeping his home and property very clean. He remained very active even driving his zero turn mower into his 90s. He raised his children to be respectful and love the Lord and he will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
