Bernadette Perpetua "Birdie" Michalec

Bernadette Perpetua "Lemos" Michalec, of 84 years, was born on October 6, 1941. She grew up in Livingston, California where she attended elementary school, middle school and even graduated high school. She loved her childhood growing up on a ranch. She shared fond memories she had with her siblings. After high school she met and married her first husband William Fiest and had only one son, Derick. Later, she met and married Allen Michalec and became a bonus mom to Dale and Pamela. She and Allen managed a storage facility in Ceres, California which she loved doing because she was the boss! After they retired, they settled in Delhi, California and attended Delhi Community Presbyterian Church, where they were very well-respected members.

Birdie is survived by her son Derrick, 12 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends who cherished and loved her dearly.

She was proceeded into death by her parents Joseph and Mary Lemos, her husband Allen Michalec, her bonus children Dale Michalec and Pamela Serna, her brothers James Sr. and Robert Lemos, her sisters Mary Beaty and Laura Lemos who without a doubt welcomed her with open arms.

A celebration of life will be held on December 12, 2025, at 1:00pm at Delhi Community Presbyterian Church located at 15917 El Capitan Way Delhi, California

A private family burial will be held on December 13, 2025, at 12:00pm at Sunnyside Cemetery in Stevinson, California
