Bernadette M. Raymo

Bernadette Marie Raymo, age 78, passed away on November 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer, with her devoted husband, Rick, by her side.
Bernadette was born on April 4, 1947, in Winchester, Va. the daughter of the late Jeanne and Marc Andrieu and beloved sister Therese.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Raymo Sr.; her son, Richard Raymo Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Nicole Raymo; and their three children: Andrieu, Tyler, and Abigail Raymo.
Bernadette lived in Middleburg, Virginia, for most of her life with her parents and sister, Theresa Andrieu. She worked at the family's hardware store in Middleburg while also caring for the property, riding horses, and fox hunting. Bernadette attended Louden High School and later pursued advanced education to become a paralegal and administrative assistant.
She married Richard Raymo Sr. and together they had one son, Richard Raymo Jr. Bernadette was a nature enthusiast who enjoyed caring for birds, tending to her garden, boating, and going for walks. She was an avid reader who enjoyed settling into a good mystery. She was well known for her daily walks through her neighborhood, where she lived for 53 years.
Bernadette will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, humility, and for being a great friend, loving wife, mother, and "Meme" to her three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on November 12th 12:30 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Woodbridge, Virginia.
A Celebration of Life will immediately follow from 2:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. at Gunston Hall in Mason Neck, Virginia.
Interment will take place at Emmanuel Cemetery in Middleburg, Virginia, and is reserved for immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Bernadette's memory.
