Don and Bern proudly owned and operated Don Bartos Motors. Although the business kept them busy, their family always came first. Bern was a devoted mother and loved nothing more than hosting family dinners, attending various sporting events, and crocheting Afghans for family, friends, and neighbors. Perhaps Bern’s greatest pride and joy was her five grandchildren. During weekdays, she cared for all of the children, from infant to school age, so they could grow up spending every day with their grandparents and cousins. She was always active in their lives.
She was predeceased by her husband, Don Bartos, her parents, and her brothers Aubrey Smith Jr., Roger Smith, Ronald Smith, and Paul Smith.
She is survived by her four children: Don Bartos (Michele,) Greg Bartos, Lisa Morris (Johnny,) and Renee Giammona (Joe.) Her five grandchildren: Lane Bartos, Connor Morris, Madison Giammona, Jordie Morris, and Carlee Giammona. Two brothers: Alfred Smith, and Edward Smith. Six sisters in law, Joanie Smith, Louis Smith, Betty Smith, Carol Miller, Elaine Nash (Dave,) and Ann Knauff (Mark). As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
