Bernard Earl Beathard

Bernard Earl Beathard, 81, of Milano, died Monday, February 23, 2026 in Temple hospital. Graveside funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the North Elm Cemetery Pavilion near Cameron. Visitation will be 11:00 am -12:30 pm Thursday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Chapel prior to going to the cemetery on Thursday. Burial will be in the North Elm Cemetery.

Mr. Beathard was born November 7, 1944 in Rockdale to Alvin and Flossie Yoakum. He married Virginia Ann Cummings and she preceded him in death in 2022. Mr. Beathard worked in Law enforcement until 1978 and then went to work at the power plant in Rockdale, Tx. He was a member of the Cameron Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brother, Julian Rogers and Buck Cunningham.

He is survived by: sons, Jay Beathard and wife Danice of Milano and Brandon Beathard and wife Krysta of Milano; sister, Leona Taylor of Cameron; grandchildren, Marantha Furgeson, Jaylee Beathard, Allyson Steinbecker, Dakota Hargis, Leanna Fay Beathard and 4 great grandchildren.
