Bernard "Bud" R. Boehm, 99, of Marinette passed away on Friday December 27, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area. He was born on November 21, 1925, to the late Alvin and Hazel Boehm in Aurora, IL. He attended West Aurora High School and went on to proudly serve his county in WWII. He entered Navel service at the age of 17 and was discharged after four years of service. He was a Radioman Second Class on a sub-chaser during the war. Bud married Delores M. Evans on July 27 1945, in Aurora, IL. She preceded him in death in November 2023. They moved the Marinette in 1953 and he started his own business, MBK TV and Electronics for seven years and later changed to MBK Sporting Goods until he retired in 1994. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking and traveling. They spent fifteen years wintering in Naples, FL. He was past president of the Woodland Bowmen Archery Club, on the board of White Tails Unlimited and a member of the Marinette Elks for 53 years.
Bud is survived by five of his six children: Judith Eckert of Asheville, NC, Joyce (Craig) Butler of Menominee, Nan Kehoe of Marinette, Joe Boehm of Menominee, and Jane (Steven) Bowers of Westerville, OH. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, wife Delores and daughter, Janice Maurer he was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Plummer; son in laws: Gerald Eckert, Richard Maurer and John Kehoe; grandson, Stephen Eckert.
