Bernard H. Brisson

Bernard Harold Brisson, 89, formerly of Fitchburg, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion. Bernard was born in Burlington, Vermont, on November 2, 1935, the son of the late Louis and Lorena (Isabelle) Brisson. Bernard worked as a laundry and linen attendant at the former Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg for 41 years before his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the local 285 Service International Employees Union. He also cleaned many doctors' offices in the area. He enjoyed time with his family, playing cribbage, and was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. He enjoyed roller skating, bowling, and eating at his favorite local diner. At Sippican, he enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and socializing with staff and residents. He was known for his sense of humor and was well-liked by all. Bernard is survived by his son, Donald Brisson, and his wife, Rose of Dartmouth; his daughter, Lisa Thomas of Ashburnham, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Bernie Brisson, who passed away in 1981. A calling hour will be held in the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg, on the 26th day of September 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a graveside service in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Fitchburg at 1:00 PM.
