Bernard A Doyle Jr

Bernard A. "Bernie" Doyle, Jr., 84 of Indianapolis passed away January 4, 2024 at St. Augustine Home for the Aged. Bernie was preceded in death by his, parents Bernard A Doyle, Sr. and Anna Julia (Clossey) Doyle; brother, Joseph Doyle and his grandson, Joshua Doyle. He was a longtime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Family Council #3682. Bernie served his country in the United States Navy. He was retired from Allison Transmission where he had worked as a Tool and Die Maker. Survivors include his wife, Joanne Doyle; children, Jacquelyn Sue Sloan, Julie Ann (Mark) Cooney, James Bernard (Cindy) Doyle, Jamie Joyce (Scott) Gilbert; Joel Adrian (Elena) Doyle and Jonathan Vincent Thiesing (Kimberly) Doyle; brothers, Gerald (Kathy) Doyle, Dr. John (Marilyn) Doyle; grandchildren, Jenny (Dan), Danielle (B.J.), Matthew (Lucy), Jacob (Aleks), Zachary, Adriana, Emily, Sara, Catherine, Daniel (Karli), Dominick, Scott, Nicolas, Ana, Keegan, Andrew, Finn, Nathaniel (Ines), Brandon, Abigail, Logan, Marquita, William (Tiffany); great grandchildren, Emma. Madeline, Waylon, Will, Wyatt, Jonah, Gavin, Lincoln, Sienna, Nikodem, Natalia, Ida, Ashlyn, Kyaira, Nicole.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Friday, January 12, 2024 at St. Augustine Home for the Aged (2345 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260). Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is from 9am-11am Friday, January 12, 2024 at St. Augustine Home for the Aged. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Augustine Home for the Aged.
