Mrs. Kimberly Sowell Doyle, 52, passed away peacefully Friday, January 23, 2026 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Doyle was very involved in Hunting for the Cure and The Outdoor Dream Foundation. She loved the hunting trips and the friends made along the way. Kim possessed a strong passion for helping others, graduating in May 2025 with a Medical Assisting Degree.
She leaves behind her husband of 21 years, Gary Doyle, Sr ; children, Gary Doyle, Jr., Dustin Doyle, Ashley Scarbrough (Blake), Amber Austin (Gary), and Haileigh Thompson, all of Sylvania. Her grandchildren include Bentley Monroe, Wyatt Hunt, Bailee Hunt, Braelynn Thompson, and Blakelyn Scarbrough; brothers, Bobby Sowell (Dara) and Eric sowell (Leann); sister, Sierra Manning (Jeremy) of Jesup; brothers-in-law Douglas Doyle (Kaytie) and Jarrell Lariscy; sister-in-law, Nancy Wates (Richard) and her father and step mother, James Sowell (Martha).
Kim was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Joy and A.F. Bragg, and brother, Tommy Sowell.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, January 26, 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Thompson Strickland Waters Joiner Anderson Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Bay Branch Baptist church with Reverend Blake Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Steven Bradford, Josh Wates, Hugh Doyle, Elijah Finley, Hayden Brown and Ryan Sowell.
Thompson Strickland Waters Joiner Anderson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
