Lisa Summerall, a beloved resident of Millen, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, at the age of 57. Lisa was born on Thursday, March 21st, 1968, in the heart of Millen, GA, where she spent much of her life bringing joy and warmth to all who knew her.
Lisa is survived by her devoted husband, Billy Summerall, and her loving children: Robin Demshar, along with her husband Dwain, of Statesboro; John Kitchens of Millen; Bridget Gibson, alongside her husband Matt, of Ludowici; and Joey Summerall, with his wife Amanda, of Glennville. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Hunter, Chase, Easton Demshar of Statesboro, Kaitlynn Duff and her husband Michael of Ludowici, and Hallie and Emma Summerall, Matthew Gibson, mother Virginia Chance, sisters Lynn Harrelson, Gina Whittenberger and chad who holds a special place in the family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Chance , whose memory she treasured deeply.
A devoted homemaker, Lisa found immense joy in caring for her family and her adored fur babies. She had a spirited nature and found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, from basking in the sun by the beach to enjoying a quiet day fishing. Her outgoing personality and unfiltered honesty left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered, truly making it impossible to know her without loving her.
The funeral service to celebrate Lisa's life will be held on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Dry Branch Baptist Church in Millen, GA.
Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Demshar, Matt Gibson, Matthew Gibson, Joey Summerall, Trace Whittenberger, and Chad Freeman, honoring Lisa with their steadfast support.
Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by Thompson Strickland Waters Funeral Home, Joiner-Anderson Chapel.
