Phyllis Marie Godbee, 59, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
Born in Palm Beach, Florida, Phyllis spent most of her life there before later making her home in Newington, Georgia. She worked as a dispatcher before dedicating herself fully to her family as a homemaker — a role she embraced with love and devotion.
Phyllis found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, crocheting, and crafting, often creating beautiful handmade items that reflected her creativity and care.
She is survived by her children, Calvin Godbee, James Godbee, and Camberlee (Jordan) Evers; her beloved grandson, Huxlee Evers; her sister, Cindy Taft; and her nieces, Ashley, Julie, and Jessica. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Thompson-Strickland-Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel
