Bernard Ferne Oser III

Bernard F. Oser III entered into eternal rest on March 19, 2024 at 5:37pm surrounded by his beloved family and friends. He was a graduate of the class of 1975 from Holy Cross. Bernard grew up in the Bywater and in 2006 moved to St. Bernard. He retired from The Compass Group. Bernard was a Member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Violet. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and going to the shooting range. Bernard was one of the biggest Elvis fan.
Bernard is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard F. Oser Jr. and Edna A. Oser; his grandparents, Nicholas and Edna Antoine, Bernard and Eleonore Oser; his aunt, Shirley Oser Erath; his uncle, Nicholas Antoine Jr. (Jean Antoine).
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Tenorio- Oser of 33 years; his sons, Bernard H. Oser and Wyatt B. Oser; his sister, Darly Oser (Earline); his brothers, David A. Oser (Linda), Dean N. Oser (Cheryl); his god child, Elizabeth O. Burkhardt (Jerad) and a number of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
The family would like to give special thanks to CCU at East Jefferson Hospital for the special care given.
A visitation for Bernard will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by a funeral mass from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
