Bernard Ross Smernoff

April 28, 1930 - September 3, 2023

Born in Bingham Canyon, UT on April 28, 1930

Departed on September 3, 2023

Born in Bingham Canyon, Utah, April 28, 1930, to Dr. Meyer and Kitty Smernoff.

Ross passed away September 3, 2023, in Denver, Colorado. Ross helped his father Meyer, who was a practicing surgeon in west Denver at the family owned Westwood Medical Clinic, where his father practiced for 45 years.  Ross met Mary Joann Baker in Denver, and fell in love with her and had two beautiful twin daughters together. The love of his life, Mary Joann Baker,  was from a wealthy sixth generation Ranching family with quarter horses and cattle who owned many Ranches and thousands of farming acres on the Red River in Oklahoma. Ross was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather.

Ross loved to travel internationally and his brother Dean always reminded his niece Kimberly and her son R.J., that Ross had traveled around the world at least Two times. Ross loved traveling to Texas to visit his daughter Kimberly and his three grandsons for boating and fishing on Possum Kingdom Lake, where she had a summer home. He also loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with friends or riding alone all his adult life.  Ross loved his family and made many friends throughout his life. He attended the Temple Sinai growing up. For almost 23 years he would teach his daughter Kimberly and his youngest grandson R.J., the Hebrew alphabet which he always remembered from school and basic Judaism. Ross was also a longtime member of the Columbine Masons-El Jebel Shriners.

May his memory be a blessing to all that have known his love, determination and perseverance.

Deceased are his parents Dr. Meyer and Kitty Smernoff and brother Dr. Dean Smernoff who had lived in Denver, CO.

He is survived by his children, two twin daughters, Kimberly Sue Smernoff (Ronald Wilson, Sr.), Rebecca Ann Smernoff Meeks, and three grandson’s, Brad Blandin Smernoff (Proctor, Jr.), William Dillon Smernoff (Proctor), and Ronald John Smernoff (Wilson, Jr.).

Graveside service was held on Thursday, September 21 at Mount Nebo Memorial Park, Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Yossi Scrcbryanski.
