Bernard Michael Sullivan

Bernard Michael Sullivan, 74, passed away on July 1, 2022, one week after the death of his beloved husband, Robert Bruner. They shared 34 years together.
Bernard was born in Albia, Iowa as the youngest child of James and Mary Sullivan. After growing up in Iowa, he attended college in Iowa and Nebraska and spent most of his adult life in Houston and Corpus Christi, Texas, where he raised his sons and worked as a counselor in drug and alcohol addiction recovery and hospice.
Bernard was preceded in death by his husband, Robert Bruner, parents, James and Mary Sullivan, and brothers, Paul, Jay, and Joe Sullivan.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jay (Maggie) Sullivan and Michael (Beth) Sullihan; grandchildren, Molly, Leah, and Dylan Sullivan, and Bernadette Sullihan and Baby Sullihan (expected July 2022); siblings, Maureen Pillepich, Marjorie Bottoms, Bob (Sue) Sullivan, Vince (Linda) Sullivan, and Pauline Mcintosh; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

Per Bernard's wishes, his body was donated to Baylor Medical school. The family asks that those wishing to honor Bernard do so by making a donation to the charitable organization of your choice.
A memorial service will be held privately in Iowa at a later date.
