Bernardine Gurko, aged 74, passed away on March 13, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on September 23, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Charles Chuppa and Jennie Calvillo, Bernardine was the beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Gurko.
She was a devoted mother to Joseph F. Gurko, Scott Gurko (Michelle), and the late Matthew Gurko. Bernardine was a cherished grandmother to April, Alexandra (Bill), Miranda (Brian), Samantha (Andy), Jessica (Travis), Marissa, Devin, Jaidyn, Ashton, Matthew, Giselle, and great-grandmother to Brent, Ella, William, Kaden, Zander, Harper and Masiah.
Bernardine was also a dear sister to Paula, Irene, David, and a treasured mother-in-law to Christie Renee. She found joy in the company of her fur baby, Pepper.
Known for her love of wine, Bernardine also had a passion for travel and cherished moments spent with her family. Her kindness, warmth, and affection will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111.
