Bernice Florence Bullick, aged 86, of Scranton, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning at her Marywood Heights residence.
She was born on Oct. 26 in Scranton to Peter and Wanda Cichocki Walesiak. She married Stephen Bullick, an Air Force Veteran in 1961, who preceded her in death in 1985. She was the mother of two children, Stephen Jr., who passed away in 1979 and daughter Cathy.
Surviving, in addition to Cathy and husband, Eric, Clarks Summit are grandchildren, Stephen, Griffin, and Erica, of whom she was so passionate and proud, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their most sincere gratitude and respect to the staff of Marywood Heights, for the unmatched care they provided Bernice, always with love and selfless dedication, through which they and Marywood Heights residents formed deep bonds. They cherished her as family throughout years enjoyed together. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bernice was a lifelong member of SS. Peter and Paul Parish in Scranton. She was extremely proud of her Polish heritage and loved cooking traditional Polish meals, especially her Christmas Eve dinner, relished by so many family and friends.
All are welcome to pay their respects on Tuesday, May 2, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave., West Scranton, Carl J. Savino Jr., supervisor. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 1309 W. Locust St., Scranton with interment at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Scranton.
