Bernice Chavez Obituary
Born in Pueblo, Colorado, she was the 2nd born of 11 children from parents Felix and Mary Montoya. She worked at the State Hospital and then was a homemaker. She attended St. Leander's and Sacred Heart Cathedral Church. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, playing cards and scrabble. She will be remembered for her kindness, wittiness, humor and loving personality.
She is survived by her daughter, Luanne Trujillo; grandchildren, Angela and Justin Gernazio, Monica Rangel and Demetrius Casarez, Sean Eichenbaum and Miles Chavez; great-grandchildren, Jayden Rangel, Jaxon Gernazio, Jacoby Gernazio, and Dahlia Casarez.
The funeral service will be held on December 1st, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Leander's Church, reception to
follow. Rosary will be held at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home on Thursday, November 30th at 6:00 PM.
