Stanley Castro Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Angelus Chapel Mortuaries on Feb. 5, 2026.
Stan was a Pueblo boy, born, raised and educated in Pueblo, Colorado. He was the first-
born son of seven children to parents Roger & Ida Castro, born on July 28,1953 and departing on January 22, 2026, at the age of 72 in Pueblo.

Preceded in death by brother Roger Alan Castro and Lisa Marie Trujillo. Stanley will be
greatly missed and leaves behind his mother Ida Castro, sisters Rae Ann Gonzales and
Karen Castro, and brothers Jack (Jana) Castro and Michael (Sherry) Castro including
daughter Desiree Kennedy and son Derek Castro, several grand kids, numerous nephews
and nieces who dearly loved him.

As the older brother of six siblings, Stan was leader in the Castro household supporting his
parents while they worked multiple jobs to support the family, he guided his siblings
through the morning rituals and keeping the household on track with precision.

Stanley graduated from South High School with Gold Chord honors and attended Southern
Colorado State College before joining the US Army in December of 1975, he was stationed
in Germany, Colorado Springs, Hawaii and Oklahoma leaving the military in 1992.

Stan was bold, proud and sentimental man who was loved and respected by his family and
friends alike. He will be greatly missed and lives on in our fond and funny memories.

Stanley will be laid to rest at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs in a
private ceremony honoring his service and wishes. May he rest in everlasting peace....
