Bernice Lee Jenkins

Ms. Bernice Lee Jenkins, daughter of the late Henry and Eva Lou Jenkins, was born April 10, 1947, in Deland, Florida. She attended the public schools of Volusia County, in the city of Deland and graduated from Southwestern High School with the class of 1965. She later attended Daytona Beach Community College, earning an Associate Degree. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Greater Bethlehem Baptist in Deland where she attended until moving away.

Ms. Jenkins worked for many years at Sparton Electronics in Deleon Springs, Florida and later worked at Sherwood Medical Industries in Deland until her retirement. Later on in her life, she moved to Sanford Florida and began working at a Walmart Retail Store until her passing. There she joined and faithfully attended and served at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, in Eatonville, Florida where she served until her passing. She quietly departed this life on Tuesday August 12, 2025, at her home in Sanford, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Eva Lou Jenkins, and brother, Stanley Jenkins.

She leaves to mourn a devoted son, Terrence Engram, a loving daughter, Nichelle Engram, Lakeland, Florida. Three siblings, Ralph Jenkins (Moochie), DeLand, Mary Jenkins (Harold), Lakeland, and Sharon Jenkins-Green (Patrick), Conyers, Georgia. Eight grandchildren, Adriana Engram, Terrica, Amiya, Terraniqua, Asia, Travon, Jahleel, and Jahiem Engram. Seven great-grands, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
