Bernice Jessie Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Bernice C. Jessie, aged 75, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Franklin, Indiana. Her life was a testament to the love and care she had for her family, friends, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
Born on January 16, 1950, Bernice's working years were spent at David R. Webb Veneer Mill, a place where she contributed tirelessly for over five years.
She is survived by her beloved son, David Jessie; her adoring grandson, Anthony Stevens; and her caring brother-in-law, Paul Stevens. Though her heart was heavy from the loss of her daughter, Karen Stevens, and her son, Randy Gray, who preceded her in death, Bernice's unwavering love for her family never dimmed.
Bernice had a special talent for connecting with kids, and her role as a loving babysitter was one she cherished wholeheartedly. The laughter and joy of children were music to her ears, and her ability to soothe and entertain was unparalleled. Her presence in the lives of those she cared for was a reassuring constant, and many will remember her for the safe haven she provided.
Bernice's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but her spirit and the love she shared will continue to thrive in the memories of those who knew her. She was a beacon of love, and her legacy will be carried forward by family and friends who were fortunate enough to have been wrapped up in her tenderness and care.
She will be laid to rest in Columbia Cemetery, Columbia, Kentucky. Wednesday, June 18th.
