Services for Bernice Neal Marett, 96, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.
Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. Marett passed away July 12, 2025, in Quitman. She was born February 1, 1929, in Grand Saline, to William Thomas & Mary Woodrum Neal. She was a lifelong resident of Grand Saline and a charter member of Bible Baptist Church. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Haskell Marett; brother, Ted Neal; and sister, Audrey Wright.
Survivors include her son, Tommy Marett and wife Trish of Kempner; daughter, Tammie Jamison and husband Michael of Nashville, AR; goddaughter, Vickie Franklin of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Chris Marett (Zin), Natalie Luedtke (Josh), Cory Barnes (Haley), and Carrie Fannin (Micah); nine great-grandchildren, Taylor Marett, Callum Marett, Marissa Melton, Caston Melton, Jaxon Barnes, Emery Barnes, Thatcher Barnes, Audrey Fannin, and Knox Fannin; special friends, Marilyn LaPrade Thompson and the LaPrade Family; and numerous other friends and relatives.
Pallbearers will be Bart Shafer, Jimmy Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Gerald Denton, Dewayne Mosley, and Henry McCown.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Thursday.
