Bernice C. Marx

Bernice C. (Glaser) Marx, 80, of Elberfeld, died Saturday August 12, 2023 at her home. She was born October 9, 1942 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Frieda (Kuebler) and John Glaser, Sr.
Bernice graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1962. She worked at Kuester's for 33 years as a buyer and in sales and most recently worked for Doctors Burress and Serletic for 12 years. Bernice was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Daylight where she was a member of the Altar Society. Bernice was also active in the Englefield Homemaker's Club and the Southern Indiana Antique and Machinery Club. She enjoyed crafts and working at the 4-H Center and on the Fair Grounds.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Marx; grandchildren, Joshua Marx (Fiancée, Tiffany) and Kayla Marx-Rhoades; great-grandchildren, Jordan Marx-Rhoades, Sophia Marx, Anastasia Marx, Adalyn Marx and Paislee Rounds; brothers, Jim Glaser (Catherine), Dennis Glaser (Kathy), and John Glaser, Jr. (Lori); sisters, Marilyn Clements (Ambrose), Betty Kissel (Kenneth), and Donna Eickhoff (Bill); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Marx; sister, Sarah Paul; and brother, Paul Glaser.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 North First Ave., Evansville, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5301 Daylight Dr., Evansville, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Fr. Chris Forler officiating.
Burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.
