Bernice Morrison McGee, 98, of Concord, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 at her home in Concord.
Bernice was born May 27, 1926 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late Ira Wilson Morrison and the late Beulah Morrison.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Benjamin McGee; sister, Betty Jean Morrison; brother, Louis Wilson Morrison, Sr.; brother, Robert Lee Morrison and brother, George Edwin Morrison.
Survivors include her sons, Ken McGee and wife Pam of North Myrtle Beach; Bob McGee and wife Jane of Concord, NC; and Joel McGee and wife Teresa of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Kristie Pendergrass, Jessica McGee, Ashley Miller, Lisa Edwards, Aaron Edwards, Brian McGee; 14 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Monday, October 7, 2024 at Rocky Ridge United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Tamara Wensil. Bernice will be laid to rest with her husband Isaac at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, NC.
We are deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by wonderful caregivers, Pam, Connie, Christina, Jeanne and Angela. As well as the dedicated team at Hospice. All the love, support and kindness offered by friends and visitors during this time have meant the world to us. She will always be greatly loved and forever missed.
