Bernice comes from a big family, 8 siblings. Her maiden name was O'Toole. She was the second youngest. Born in Braddock Pa. She married Jerome Milko and had 2 sons, Her husband died after being married for only nine years in 1978 from pancreatic cancer. She stayed a widow never remarrying. She had a tough life raising two sons on her own. But family on both her side and her husband's side of the family helped her get through the rough spots. she would do anything to help people who needed help and would do anything for her kids. She had a very high capacity for giving. Her career through the years spanned(besides being a mother,) working as a crossing guard, went to school and became a CNA, later in life she worked in the bakery at Publix. She was a wonderful baker during the holidays and could make a great apricot roll. She also cared for the elderly as a granny nanny. Mom was a very private person and quiet, but when she got mad, she let you know it. She loved orchids and growing orchids as well as roses. She ended up getting two dogs later in life that she was very close to, a teacup poodle named Charlie and a Chihuahua named Mickey. She will be deeply missed by us.
