Sarah "Aunt Sally" M. Milko
Passed away November 19, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Sally was an active member of St. Maurice (St. Joseph the Worker Parish) throughout her life. Proceeded in death by her parents William and Patricia Milko, and brother, William R. She is survived by her sister, Cyndi (Frank) Capcara and brother, Ken (Todd), nephews, Chris (Holly) and Ryan (Amy) Capcara, beloved grand-nephews and niece, and countless aunts, uncle, cousins and extended family who will miss her terribly.
Sally was kind, generous and selfless, always putting everyone else first and left a lasting impression on everyone she interacted with. Sally answered God's call to service throughout her career as both a nurse and as a volunteer at her nephews' and great-nephew/niece's schools, but treasured her moments with family above all else. She was an avid fan of the outdoors between her hiking trips or spending time tending to her garden. Despite working multiple jobs Sally never missed a family get together. She never came empty handed- and always had a smile and a quick-witted joke for everyone in attendance. She was always there for those who were in need - lending an ear to family and friends whenever necessary and offering her favorite mantra - "life is good" - to steer you back on track.
A memorial service celebrating the wonderful life of Sally will be held at 11:00am Monday, December 1, 2025 at St. Maurice Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish), 2001 Ardmore Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15221. Everyone please meet at church, with lunch afterwards where all who loved her are welcome to share their memories.
In lieu of flowers, please perform an act of kindness in Memory of Sal. The happiest people are not the ones getting more, but giving more.

I have so many fond memories of Sally from when I was young, as my confirmation sponsor all the way through college, when she bought me the Supertramp album and then some. She was such a kind-hearted woman that gave everybody nothing but a kind word or kind gesture. Sally truly was one of a kind and will be missed truly. I have posted several pictures I found of her while I was going through some of my old photos.

I have five brothers. But Sally taught me how to throw a baseball. She empowered me at an early age to not allow preconceived notions of my gender limit me. What an incredible gift.
Peace and love to all who will miss her light.

I worked with Sally at the VA hospital where we became friends. She always ask me about my hoard of animals.she was always so kind, witty and she always gave her all in taking care of the veterans. When I retired she always told me she was right behind me but she loved her job so much I know it would be awhile before she would ever retire. We kept in touch through e-mails but unfortunately life got in our way so we lost touch. I will remember her always cause she made work so easy with her laughter.. Love you Sally Now heaven gets you how lucky they are
