Bernice W. Rast, 77 of Cameron died peacefully Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at her residence..
She was born March 31, 1948 in Orangeburg County, SC; the daughter of the late Willie W. Wiles and the late
Myrtlene N. Wiles; she was retired from Bank of America where she worked for more than 30 years. She was
preceded in death by two brothers; Bryan Wiles and Clyde Wiles.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; Kevin and Dawn Rast of Cameron; grandchildren; Ashlee and
(Taylor) Doxtater of Theresa, NY, Jeryd and (Iris) Rast of St. Matthews, Makayla Rast of Orangeburg, Justin
Bristow of Branchville, Stacia Hewitt of Oklahoma and Christopher Desmond of North Carolina; great
grandchildren; Malachi Rowe, Maison Rowe, Keigan Doxtater, Ryatt Doxtater, Atley Bristow, and Amir Fairnot; a
brother; Stanley and (Sue) Wiles of Branchville; a sister; Charlotte Johnson of Branchville; sister-in-laws; Cindy
Wiles of Branchville, Debbie Wiles of the Four Holes Community, and Suzie Rast of Chaphin, along with a
number of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may send condolences and personal messages using social media platforms or by calling the
family. Flowers and cards may be sent to her residence at 205 First St., Cameron, SC 29030.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2026 at her childhood home in the Cattle
Creek Community near the Wiles Family Cemetery.
