Bertha Emma Faustmann

2/2/1926-11/17/2025

Bertha was born on February 2, 1926, to Fritz and Hattie Haese Faustmann in Wilson, Texas. She was Preceded in death by her parents; her sister Leona and husband johnny Stobbs; her niece Sandra Stobbs; her great-nephew Jeffery Kyrish; and her brothers Elmer and Willie Faustmann.

She survived by her great-nephew Johnathan Kyrish and his wife Linda, of Carthage, TX; her great-great-Jonathan Kyrish jr., of San Antonio TX; and Jantzen Kyrish, of Carthage TX. She also leaves behind many friends who loved her dearly.

Bertha dedicated her entire life to the family dairy farm, a legacy she cherished deeply. She was a woman of strength and resilience, working with cows alongside her brothers, proving time and again she was as capable as any man. She took great pride in maintaining the farm, from tending to the livestock to managing a large vegetable garden and canning its bounty, a skill she generously shared with neighbors and friends. Her commitment to her family and the farm was the cornerstone of her existence.

In her well-deserved quiet moments, Bertha was an incredibly talented seamstress. Her hands were rarely still as she was always sewing. She made everything from her own beautiful clothes to those of her sister, Leona, nieces and great nephews. Her creations were a physical expression of the care and love she help for her family. Bertha was truly one of a kind. She gave love freely, lived faithfully, and showed all of us what quiet strength looks like.

We will miss her tremendously- her presence, her stories, her steady way of caring, but our sorrow is softened by the peace of knowing where she is now. Bertha has stepped into eternity, welcomed into the arms of God, walking in the clouds with the angels.

Though we say goodbye today, our love for her continues. It lives on in our memories, in the lessons she taught us, and in the lives, she shaped simply by being who she was.

May we honor her by loving one another well, by cherishing our families, and by hold close the hope of reunion one day.
