Bertha B Garnick

Bertha B. Garnick, Age 92, passed away on April 20, 2025 at The Gables of Canton. She was born on December 10, 1932 at Beech Bottom, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late James E. and Gladys White. She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas H. Garnick, brothers, James (Arla) White and H. Robert (Lois) White, sisters, Myrtle (Jack) Beaman and Hazel (Bill) Cunningham, brother-in-law, Joseph (Rosemond) Garnick and sister-in-law, Pauline (Joseph) Jackfert.

Bertha was married to Thomas in 1956 and was a resident of Wellsburg, West Virginia for many years. She also lived in Toronto, Ohio and Louisville, Ohio. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, devout Christian and a member of Christ Church of Louisville.

She is survived by sons, Stephen (Cheryl) Garnick of Gahanna, Ohio and Thomas (Deborah) Garnick of Louisville, Ohio. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Sean Garnick, Cerissa Noble and Matthew (Erin) Griffith and great-grandchildren, Gianna and Annelise Noble and Aubrey and Blake Griffith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at The Gables of Canton and Elara Caring Hospice Care for their compassion shown to our mother and for providing comfort the last few months of her life.
