Bertram Kovash

Mr. Bertram Kovash passed away on Thursday September 18, 2025 at Cranbury Center in Monroe. He was eighty five years old.

Mr. Kovash was born in New Brunswick and raised in Highland Park. He also resided in Old Bridge, Edison, Chester and North Brunswick before moving to Monroe.

He served our country faithfully in the United States Navy. He had a lengthy career as a locksmith and retired after owning and operating All Safe Lock and Key in New Brunswick for many years.

Mr. Kovash was a dedicated member of the Free and Accepted Masons. He was a member of the Scottish Rite- Northern Jurisdiction of the United States and a Most Worthy Grand Patron with the Order of the Eastern Star. He was active throughout New Jersey in most Freemason activities.

He was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan and a New York Football Giants fan. He also enjoyed trivia games and doing puzzles.

Mr. Kovash was pre deceased by his wife, Ella in 2022.

He is survived by his son Steven Kovash, his grandson Cody Max Kovash and his step daughter Debbie Kinsey.

A memorial service will be held from 10-11 AM on October 11, 2025 at the Gleason Funeral Home of North Brunswick 555 Georges Road in North Brunswick and graveside services will follow at Van Liew Cemetery.
