Else Marie Gumina

Else Marie Gumina, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 17, at the age of 89.

Born in Norway to Edwin and Else Nuth, Else Marie grew up with her sister, Lanny. At the age of 15, she moved to the United States and settled in Rahway, New Jersey, where she lived with her Aunt Adelheid.

Shortly thereafter, she met the love of her life, Carmen Gumina. The two married and built a life together in East Brunswick, New Jersey, where they raised three children-Kim, Frank, and Roman.

Later in life, Else moved to south Florida, first to Fort Lauderdale and then to Palm Beach County, where she spent the rest of her years.

Else was an avid traveler and enjoyed tennis and reading. She was also passionate about healthy living and nutrition. Known for her graciousness, she was the consummate hostess and a welcomed guest wherever she went. She created lasting friendships throughout her life.

Else was predeceased by her sons, Frank and Roman. Surviving are her daughter, Kim, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, at 11:00 AM at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 Route 27, North Brunswick, with entombment to follow.
