Edward Gamache

Mr. Edward Gamache passed away on Saturday evening, March 7, 2026 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was eighty-four years old.

Mr. Gamache was born in Neptune and lived in Union as a child then enrolled in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He raised his family in Edison and owned and operated CJ Truck Rebuilders in South Plainfield. He operated the business for nearly twenty-five years .

Mr. Gamache lived in Middletown for a time before retiring to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He enjoyed refurbishing older cars, specifically from the 1930's and 1940's and was a member of the Timers Car Club in Eden WI. He enjoyed working with steel artifacts and welding equipment fabricating landscape ornaments and outdoor decorations. He also loved horses and tending to his mule, Columbo. Columbo was frequently used to pull the stagecoach in various parades and events.

Mr. Gamache loved the company of his friends at Paddy's Pizza family restaurant and all his close friends in Wisconsin.

He was a gentleman and was always willing to share his knowledge, his sense of humor with friends and neighbors. He will be missed.

He was predeceased by his brother Fred Gamache.

He is survived by his children Wayne Gemache and Renee Lopez and her husband Hector. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicole Larsen, Jaclynn Farley and Zachary Farley and his great grandchildren Cierra, Aydan and Logan Aseicha and Axel Mejia.

There will be a memorial service held in Fond du Lac, WI at a time in the future.
