COLUMBIA CITY - Beth Coleen Arnold, 73, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away in the company of family at 12:56 p.m., on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Parkview Whitley Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1951, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a daughter of the late Merle and Laura (Clifford) Felger. Growing up on a farm near Arcola, Indiana, she developed a lifelong passion for farm life.
She graduated from Carroll High School in 1970.
Mechanically inclined, Beth worked for more than 10 years in the maintenance department at Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana. Most recently, she worked in the kitchen for the daycare at Whitley County Family YMCA, Columbia City.
Family was always her priority, raising three children and joining her siblings for a monthly breakfast. She liked fishing, looking after her flower garden, repairing and riding bicycles, and restoring furniture. In her quiet time, she enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles or figuring out how to do her next project.
A member of the Unity Church in Fort Wayne, she volunteered to do maintenance work and lots of painting.
Surviving are her children, Nathan W. (Melinda) Arnold, of Columbia City, Zenda M. (John) Tyler, of Brownsburg, Indiana, and Travis (Elizabeth) Arnold, of Columbia City; siblings, Lowell (LuAna) Felger, of Arcola, Connie Fisher, of Fort Wayne, Amy (Sam) VanEvery, of Churubusco, Paul (Carol) Felger, of Fort Wayne, Ruth (Phillip) Rivard, of Columbia City and Nan (Steve) Burman, of Arcola; and sister in-law, Karen Felger, of Arcola; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m., until the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
Memorials in Beth's honor are to Whitley County YMCA preschool program.
